Owner, Artistic Director, Co-Founder

Byron S. Stewart is Owner and Design Lead at Dramatic Diversity a minority owned, for profit, theatre-based diversity consulting firm. Dramatic Diversity provides corporate training and diversity & inclusion consultation to the Fortune 1,000, as well as colleges and universities. With its multi-faceted product offerings and strategic approach to training and consulting, Dramatic Diversity has worked with leading firms including: BP/Amoco, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Motorola, Northern Trust Bank, Brookfield Zoo, University of Chicago, and PepsiCo.

Project Bodystorming/DD+D is the name given to Dramatic Diversity's offerings in the various fields of design. DD+D uses bodystorming, embodied dramatic personas, realistic scenarios, participatory design and forum theatre techniques to help designers empathize with users.

Audiences have also seen Mr. Stewart's work in many theatres, including Northlight, Black Ensemble, Pegasus, Court, Hartford Stage, and The Goodman. He received a Jeff Citation (Lead Actor) for Slow Dance On The Killing Ground at Touchstone Theatre. Mr. Stewart has been awarded a Black Theatre Alliance Award and an After Dark Award (Outstanding Performance) for his performance in the one-man show, Conversation With A Diva, produced by A Real Read and the Bailiwick Theatre. As Artistic Director and co-founder of A Real Read, Chicago's African American LGBT performance ensemble, he has directed and performed in most of the ensemble's local performances and national tours. Mr. Stewart premiered his own one man show, Manchild and Other Fierce Pieces, at San Francisco's Josie's Cabaret and Juice Joint. As Artistic Director of School Street Movement, a school-based HIV prevention performance troupe, he directed, and designed curriculum for all touring shows including the Sex Police, a hip-hop dance play. He also created a program of children and adult acting classes at Joel Hall Dance Center. Mr. Stewart co-starred in the feature film How U Like Me Now, and is featured in and did casting for the award winning made-for-television series, Kevin's Room I-III; produced by Chicago Department of Public Health and Black Cat Productions. Byron is a member of Actor's Equity Association, the Association for Standardized Patient Educators (simulation in health care). He is also a member of the Interaction Design Association(IxDA), and Project Osmosis. Mr. Stewart received his BFA degree from Howard University in Washington D.C.

Managing Director

Andrew Ritter has used theatre as a tool for social and behavioral change with theatre companies locally and internationally for the past 9 years. In '98/'99, Mr. Ritter taught ESL at Loei University, Loei, Thailand. While there he also created a Theatre Program for the University, an Environmental Club, and was Co-Founder and Artistic Director for The Amazing English Camp which toured around the North East of Thailand using theatre as a tool to teach students English, Team Building & Environmentalism. He currently teaches improvisation and musical improvisation at The Second City in Chicago. He also performs every Sunday night with the Second City Musical Improv House Ensemble in Donny's Skybox Theatre. Mr. Ritter is a Director/Actor/Writer with Democracy Burlesque. He has worked as an inclusion specialist for the North Suburban Special Educatrion District and as a director/performer and/or writer for a wide variety of Theatre Companies including: The Cupid Players, Collaboraction, The IO Theatre (formerly Improv Olympic), Angerstein Street, American Eagle, Novel Ideas, Catbox Productions, Tripaway Theatre, Emerald City, Broutil & Frothingham, the Bailiwick, Scarf Up and has toured his one man show It's The Play that Dreams are Made of. Mr. Ritter received his BA in Theatre and Psychology from Middlebury College in Vermont. He has additional training from BADA, the Actors Theatre of Louisville, and the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts.


Brian Gregg graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Economics Cum Laude and earned his MBA at the Wharton School of Business of the Univeristy of Pennsylvania. Currently he serves as an Associate at McKinsey, a global management consulting firm specializing in business strategy. Over the past year, Mr. Gregg served as a Summer Assistant Brand Manager with Kraft Foods, a Consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, and a Client Manager at the Wharton Small Business Devleopment Center. In these roles, he developed client strategies for launching new products and implemented marketing campaigns for small business owners.

In addition to his for-profit experience, Mr. Gregg recently volunteered as a consultant to HOPE -- Trinidad & Tobago's largest microfiance institution -- where he helped implement a new management accounting system for tracking loans, in an effort to boost its profiablity. He also served as Director of Choreography of the Wharton Follies, Wharton's annual musical theater production which performs for both New York and Philadelphia audeinces.

Prior to completing his MBA, Mr. Gregg served as Managing Director of Dramatic Diversity, where he designed and delivered numerous training programs for clients such as Hyatt Hotels, Price WaterhouseCoopers, South Dakota State University, and CNA Insurance. He also spent two years as a management consultant with Bain & Company where he helped formulate business strategies for Fortune 500 companies in many different industries including consumer packaged goods, distribution, telecommunications, pulp & paper, and information technology.
